If you don't use it, you lose it!

You know how the old saying goes, "If you don't use it, you lose it!". Well, unfortunately it's true.

So what can I do to stop this from happening?!

Resistance training. As we stop using our muscles, they waste away (atrophy). Atrophy causes a loss of strength and can effect the ability to perform everyday tasks i.e mowing the lawn, getting up the stairs or even doing the dishes. Resistance training recruits those existing muscle fibers and more to improve quality of life and enhance functional independence.
